Privacy Notice

This notice explains how your personal data is collected and used when you register for the Slovenia Global Showcase through this website. It is written specifically for this event and, where it differs, it overrides the general Combine Academy corporate policy.

Most participants are minors (players are born 2007–2014).

For a player under 18, a parent or legal guardian must complete the registration, provide the player's information, and confirm having read this notice on the child's behalf. Players who are 18 or older may register themselves. Where we refer to "you", we mean the person completing the form — the participant if they are an adult, otherwise the parent/guardian.

1. Who is responsible for your data (controller)

MVP Lane is the Slovenian operator of this showcase and decides how and why your registration data is processed. "Combine Academy" is the showcase's brand partner (Combine Enterprises LLC, 270 Car Farm Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092, USA); its separate corporate privacy policy is available at combineacademy.com/privacy-policy.

2. What we collect

Through the registration form, we collect:

Player: first and last name, date of birth, phone, email, jersey size, club team.
Parent/guardian (or the adult registrant): first and last name, phone, email.
Address: street, optional address line 2, city, region/state and postal code (your billing country is collected by Stripe at checkout, not by this form).
Registration choices: housing/package (boarding or non-boarding), payment plan (one-time or 3-month instalments), and language preference.
Marketing preferences: the optional opt-in choices you select (follow-up marketing by phone/SMS, and — for adult registrants — an optional phone call). Where you opt in, we store your name and phone number as the marketing contact.

We also generate and store a registration ID, the submission date/time, a status, and — once you proceed to pay — the Stripe checkout session ID, so we can match your payment to your registration.

We do not collect any special-category data (such as health data), and we do not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

4. Who we share it with

Your registration details are stored by MVP Lane and are shared only as follows:

Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland; and Stripe, Inc., USA) — to take your payment. We send Stripe only the payer's email (to pre-fill checkout) and the registration ID (as a reference). Stripe then collects the cardholder name, billing address and card details directly from you. We never send the player's or parent's names or the player's details to Stripe.
Minimax (Seyfor d.o.o., Slovenia) — to issue the invoice. It receives the payer's name and billing address (as entered at checkout), the amount, and a payment/invoice reference. The player's registration details are not sent to Minimax.
Vultr (our hosting provider) — stores the registration data on our behalf as our processor.
Marketing (optional): if you opt in, MVP Lane uses your name and phone number to send the follow-up marketing you selected by phone/SMS (and, for adult registrants who agree, by phone call). MVP Lane updates stay within MVP Lane (Slovenia). Combine Academy / Combine Global updates are sent in partnership with our brand partner (see section 1), which is based in the USA; sending those may involve sharing your contact details with the partner outside the EEA, and we will put an appropriate transfer safeguard in place and confirm the details before doing so. You can withdraw at any time (reply STOP, or contact kokoravec.ziga8@gmail.com).

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

5. International transfers

Stripe processes some payment data outside the European Economic Area (Stripe, Inc. in the United States); that transfer is covered by the Standard Contractual Clauses in Stripe's Data Processing Agreement.

If you opt into Combine Academy / Combine Global marketing, sending those updates may involve transferring your contact details to our USA-based brand partner (see section 1). We will put an appropriate safeguard (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) in place and confirm the details before any such transfer. We do not otherwise transfer your personal data outside the EEA. You can ask us for details using the contact details above.

6. How long we keep it

Abandoned unpaid registrations: if Stripe Checkout expires before payment, the registration is removed within 30 days after that expiration.
Paid and active registration data: kept for the showcase and deleted within 12 months after the event, unless we need it longer to handle a dispute or legal claim.
Invoices and accounting records: kept for the period required by Slovenian law (currently up to 10 years). These are held separately from your registration record.
Marketing preferences: stored inside your registration record. If you withdraw consent we switch the opt-ins off and keep your registration record for the showcase; the preferences are deleted together with that record (within 12 months of the event, or sooner if you ask us to erase your data).

7. Cookies and tracking

This showcase website uses no advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies, and loads no third-party content when the page opens. Your browser only contacts a third party (Stripe) at the moment you choose to proceed to payment.

8. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its use, and receive a portable copy (GDPR Art. 15–22). Where we rely on consent (marketing), you can withdraw it at any time — reply STOP to any marketing message, or contact kokoravec.ziga8@gmail.com.

To exercise any of these, email mvp-lane@combineacademy.eu. For a player under 18, requests should come from the parent/guardian. We respond within one month.

Note: we can erase your registration record on request, but any invoice we are legally required to keep will be retained for the statutory period (see section 6).

9. Complaints

If you believe your data has been handled improperly, you can contact us first, and you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Slovenian supervisory authority:

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The current version and date are shown at the top; when we make a material change we record a new version so we can tell which version was provided and acknowledged at registration.
